Your life does not get better by chance, it gets better by change.
— Jim Rohn

Following on from making TIME your greatest asset, change can be the unavoidable constant in our lives. People adjust to change, not by learning what is taking place but creating new expectations that can lead to success. The more we resist the urge for change, the tougher life becomes.

We see change in multiple forms; by crisis, choice or chance. This in turn all comes down to choice. Do I make the change or not?

During the global crisis we’re in, Founder & CEO of onezone, Natasha Zone, has adapted to change tremendously from showcasing wonderful places to dine in and hangout in London to providing content focusing on learning and experience from chefs, entrepreneurs and business leaders through Zone In. An inspiring choice to help prepare future leaders and chefs in the making.

There are ways we can adapt to change and take advantage of it in a positive manner:

1. Think of your future

We’re never free from change but we decide how we respond to it. We aim to seek inspiration from it. If we only focus on the limitations then we end up succumbing to bitterness and despair. Let us accept that change happens, then embrace the freedom to decide what is next.

2. Focus on your values

Remind me, what is most important to you? Family, friends, loved ones, music, creative etc. These are all great ways to buffer against any form of change that makes us weak. Writing about your personal value you hold true to yourself positively affects you.

3. Accept there is no stability

Don’t just focus on the good ol’days as those days are over. We should view all change, whether wanted or unwanted as apart of our human experience rather than a tragic quirk.

We all desire to live a successful and happy life but in order to achieve what we truly desire, we have to be proactive about how we manage change in our lives. If there’s one thing i’ve learnt, we should accept it.
